GO Tweed Valley? You really must ...

In other news, the Think Positive, It Will Get Better Award for November goes to the Tweed Valley Tourism BID for producing what, even if I say so myself, is a pretty snappy new website for the area.

The public face of the Tourism BID, the new GO Tweed Valley site showcases the area like never before, pulling together all the elements that make it one of Scotland’s premier activity destinations.

Family activities feature strongly, while there are also detailed sections on biking, hiking, trail running, watersports, fishing, golf and more. And it’s not just about outdoorsy stuff. The site also makes much of the area’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant arts scene, country houses and castles, colourful gardens and botanic collections, locally produced food and drink, plus the wide range of places to eat and stay.

We had a top team working on the site, including web design by Scott Noble Digital Services, brand identity by Caddon Creative and a host of photographers who kindly contributed their images. Special mention to Ian Linton Photography, David Cheskin, Forestry and Land Scotland and Tweed Valley Guides who were all especially generous.

Of course, the middle of a pandemic is not exactly the optimum time to launch a new tourism website, but it’s so important to plan ahead to the better days that will come.

There’s a load of great content on the site, so do have a rummage around. And if you’ve never been to the Tweed Valley before, you really must schedule a visit for early next year when we WILL have a vaccine and things WILL have returned to some kind of normal. Please let it be true …
